Venue Hire Fees
September – April (up to 150 guests)

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to use Mont Rouge caterers?
Yes, we do not allow outside caterers. Together we can work out the perfect menu for your special day that will suit your requirements and budget.
Can I bring in my own wedding cake?
You are more than welcome to bring in your own wedding cake.
I would like to get dressed for my wedding on the premises. Do you have a room or cottage available?
Yes, we do at an additional cost. For all accommodation-related questions, please contact Marisha at [email protected].
I do not like the chairs/tables/linen included in the venue fee. Can I please get other ones?
You are more than welcome to source different furniture or linen for your own account. Please note that cost can not be subtracted from the venue fee and the fee must be paid in full regardless of using the venue’s furniture and linen or not.
What is your policy on children attending?
We love children and we have the most beautiful gardens and open spaces for them to play around, but we also have a lot of water streams, dams and an open pool close to the venue, therefore it is the parents’ own responsibility to look after their children.
Mont Rouge cannot be held liable if anything happens to a child.
In terms of catering children under the age of 4 is free of charge, and children 4 to 12 years old will be charged 50% of the cost. Children of 12 years and up will be viewed as an adult.
How does the bar service work?
You can have a total cash bar where guests pay for their own drinks, or you can run a tab for an open bar for your guests. If you’d prefer, you can even set a ceiling on an open bar tab and thereafter have a cash bar available once the ceiling has been reached.
Our prices for liquor are very reasonable and market-related. If you would like to bring in your own drinks for pre-drinks a corkage of R20 per person will be charged.
You are allowed to bring two bottles of champagne/sparkling wine as well as two bottles of wine per table. Extra bottles of wine will be charged R35 per bottle for corkage.
How do the menu selection and catering work?
You will be able to compile your own menu from a list of dishes and our experienced catering staff will be more than willing to assist you with any custom choices. We can do canapés, spitbraais, warm and cold buffets, plated dishes, picnics etc.
How will the payments work?
A 50% non-refundable deposit as part of the venue hire will be required to secure booking.
3 months before the wedding you must pay your venue hire in full.
10 days before the wedding, the total bill must be settled (food, décor, etc.)
When can we collect our decor and personal items after the wedding?
If décor cannot be collected on the Monday (or following workday) after your wedding, it can be done on the Sunday or the day after the wedding between 11:00 and 12:00 only.

Venue Hire Terms and Conditions
Mont Rouge takes no responsibility for injuries, damage to personal belongings or items hired by you, or damage caused by rain or fire.
Mont Rouge takes no responsibility for outdoor events and the client remains responsible for any extra costs involved should a radical shift in the weather affect the arrangements of the function.
REMOVAL OF DÉCOR
All décor must be removed from the premises on the Monday after the wedding before 10:00 am, or on the Sunday between 11:00 and 12:00 am. Mont Rouge takes no responsibility for loss or damage to any décor.
Only biodegradable confetti is permitted. Popcorn, feathers, spray string, and streamers are not allowed.
Smoking is only permitted outside.
To secure your booking, 50% (non-refundable) of the venue hire must be paid.
3 months prior to the wedding, 50% of the total outstanding balance (venue hire) must be paid.
10 days before the wedding the account must be settled in full.
If you cancel your wedding less than 9 months prior to the wedding date, you will be liable for the full venue hire.

No accommodation will be reserved for you and your guests on the weekend of your wedding without prior arrangement and accommodation deposit payments. We work strictly on a first come first serve basis.
SET-UP & DISMANTLING
The venue is available for set-up the day prior to the event from 08:00 to 16:00.
Dismantling must please take place the day after the function between 11:00 and 12:00, or the following working day (usually the Monday).
By choosing to book your wedding or function at Mont Rouge Venue, you automatically agree to the above Terms and Conditions.
